Gospel artist Joji Baro and his gay lover
Wonders will never cease! The new Nairobi gay church is located in one of Nairobi’s upmarket estates and it has more than a hundred followers. The gay church’s communication director, Joji Baro- who is also a gay gospel musician says that they were motivated to open the church because of the discrimination they get from other churches.
Joji Baro said that other churches don’t welcome the gay people, even if they worship the same God as other Christians.
“Other churches don’t welcome us, yet we worship the same God. We formed our own church for friends and relatives of the gay community,”says Joji. He however refuses to disclose the exact location of the church for fear that irrational Kenyans might storm the venue and cause havoc. Joji also said that the Cosmopolitan Affirming Church is just like other churches, only that its members are more rational and they don’t bash gays and lesbians.
